the past 5 years, Skyline Literary Community has earned its reputation of
quality and excellence thru our hard work
and dedication of 'Bringing the World together
Thru the Arts'. We seek original, previously
unpublished literature of highest standards. Please read our current and
past issues before
you submit, to see the material we accept for publication.
Our publications welcome new and established
writers. We provide a well traveled pathway upon which
authors and artists may display their work
to thousands of readers on the Internet and in limited print editions. Skyline has been a stepping
stone for talented writers and artists who shared
their skills with us, gained experience and confidence and moved
on, attaining their
creative goals. Tear sheets are an integral part of a
professional portfolio, and frustratingly difficult to earn. We offer that first
publishing credit to many writers and artists. Skyline celebrates the success and excitement of our
writer and artist accomplishments.
About Skyline Print Magazines: Skyline
Magazines are produced solely by Victoria Valentine, Skyline publisher and
editor, with the assistance of a handful of dedicated volunteers who help edit stories
and keep the publisher organized. However, the burden of work and cost
falls upon the publisher. With no funding, grants or advertising revenue,
magazine sales are all we have to help keep us alive and in print. With
many small press magazines sadly failing, magazine sales are the only means of
our survival. We therefore welcome all writers, artists and readers who
recognize these facts, share our passion and values, and understand what needs
to be done to produce fabulous quarterly print magazines.

Skyline offers both website and print
publication.
Skyline is the perfect place for all writers,
authors, poets, artists and photographers to come together thru the arts.
Skyline Magazine publishes stories, poetry, interviews, articles, art,
photography of various genres. Although we may offer website banner
advertising, one will never find paid advertising inside our magazines.
Material in our magazines is published on a contributory basis, in exchange for
free advertising and promotion. We host frequent contests for poetry
and short stories with cash prizes and choices of other prizes for the winners -
with NO entry fees.
We occasionally promote music and musicians. Skyline Magazine offers the finest
literature in elegant quarterly print magazines. At times, due to the high
cost of printing, we may publish an electronic quarterly issue as an alternative
to a print copy. However, as we have always done, we will do everything
possible to keep Skyline alive and in print.
Skyline does not purchase stories, articles,
features or poetry. We are here to provide entertainment
for our readers
and a platform for author promotion and exposure. We place copyright
information on our web sites, however, each author and
poet is responsible for the ultimate copyright of their material.
Our print magazines are copyrighted.
Poet Express publishes poems online quarterly,
and will be publishing the poets of Poet Express in A Hudson View Poetry Digest
quarterly print.
Literary House publishes short stories and
poetry online and in an annual print edition, featuring Pushcart Prize nominees
along with a selection of other fine stories and poetry.
A note about Skyline Print
Magazines for Contributors and our Readers: If you would like to purchase
copies of Skyline print magazines, the cost is $15.00 a copy, shipped in the
continental USA.
Print magazines are elegant and
lovely publications of 80 pages with full color covers. Skyline Magazine will
provide hours of reading pleasure for mature readers ages 18 and up.
Without funding, grants or
advertising revenue, Magazine and Digest purchases will help keep our
publications in print! While electronic publication is a lovely outlet for
everyone to enjoy, there is nothing like 'holding' us in your hands. Words
are Forever, Art the unspoken Word. Our magazines are timeless.
Create and Share within the
circle of Skyline Literary Community, where we are devoted to small press
publication, and will do everything possible to uphold the tradition. We
thank our author and artist contributors for helping us produce three of the
most brilliant and elegant small press magazines on the market today.
